Sunbeam Control is operated by Sunbeam Control Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address and company number are available on request. For privacy enquiries, contact legal@sunbeamcontrol.com.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers two categories of user: (a) visitors to sunbeamcontrol.com and (b) users of the Sunbeam Scanner desktop application. We handle data differently for each and describe both below.

3. Website visitors

When you visit sunbeamcontrol.com, we collect:

• Form submissions — name, email address, company, and role when you request a demo or join a waitlist. This data is sent to our email service (currently logged server-side; Resend integration planned).
• Analytics — we use Vercel Analytics for page-view counts. No cookies are set. No personally identifiable information is collected by analytics.

We do not use tracking cookies, third-party ad pixels, or any form of cross-site tracking.

4. Product users — Sunbeam Scanner

The Sunbeam Scanner runs entirely on your machine. It does not transmit scan data to Sunbeam Control Ltd or any third party. Specifically:

• All scan findings are stored locally and never uploaded.
• PDF and CSV reports are generated on-device.
• No telemetry is sent in any mode — Trial, Demo, or Pro.
• Licence key validation is performed locally. No internet connection is required for activation.
• Optional integrations (Splunk, webhook, Slack) send data only to endpoints you explicitly configure via CLI flags.

5. How we use your data

Form submission data is used solely to respond to your enquiry, provide product access, or notify you about product updates you have opted into. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Data retention

Form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to service your enquiry or maintain a business relationship. You may request deletion at any time by emailing legal@sunbeamcontrol.com.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact legal@sunbeamcontrol.com.

We will update this page when our data practices change. The version number and date at the top of this page indicate the most recent revision.
